There comes a time in your life where simply focusing on the daily grind is just not enough. Maybe a higher purpose? This is where I’m at in mine. I found myself realizing beliefs I valued were disappearing right before my eyes. So-called truths were becoming half truths at best. Good was becoming bad and bad was becoming good. Was this just me?
So I started searching to see if there were others that felt the same way. As it turned out there were! Quite a few actually. All felt as frustrated as I did. Many were asking the same questions I was. “Is this really where our civilization is heading?” Ultimately, where’s the common sense?
Over the years I have tried to see “the other side” from time to time. Typically leaving the conversation frustrated and confused. While the person I was conversing with really had strong feelings there were very few times it was based on any sort of common sense. It was what they felt, period.
They would quote their circle of influence without any thought to what I was saying. Not seeing the other side as their “deep” feelings were the authority and/or higher ground in the conversation. It also became obvious that the majority of media venues referenced were the same.
About My Common Sense Beliefs…
– I believe strongly in the 1st and 2nd Amendments
– I believe in Religious Freedoms
– I believe in capitalism and hard work
– I try to be earth responsible
– I believe in Jesus Christ
– I help those in need, anonymously
– I believe in marriage and commitment
– Family is most important to me
– Cats are cool! (Especially if adopted)
– I am pro-life
– I believe the Constitution was inspired by God
– I am an American Conservative
– I believe in legal immigration
– I believe we all are equal and matter
Inspired to Start.
Because of this I decided to start Conservative News Links in 2019. It was actually my wife’s idea. A simple place to get to links that spoke to the conservative side of things. Links and resources which have become very popular. But again, it wasn’t enough. I needed to tell my story and represent the common sense side of things. Alas, here we are.
My Common Sense articles (viewpoint) deal with issues that I feel personally inspired to talk about. Because of trolls there won’t be any comments I’m afraid. I have already dealt with them before and they attack personally and viciously.
It’s my hope that the common sense side will be given merit towards our domestic and global issues. Probably a fantasy but one can only hope.
