Is it right to cancel out any opinion that does not meet someone else’s ideals?
A disturbing cancel culture has fully emerged that wants their opinions to be the only ones. An open dialogue with dissenting viewpoints is unthinkable. To have any opinion contrary to them is racist, hate speech endangering all you are and have.
We find ourselves dealing with a concentrated, well funded, effort to silence any opinion that does not match what a powerful portion of society deems appropriate. If they put you in their crosshairs you could become a target for them to destroy your career, your company, your family, friends and reputation. Is this appropriate behavior when we have a constitutional right to freedom of speech?
As Conservatives, we are quickly losing our ability to share our side of the story. Social media censorship with mainstream media megaphones are doing everything they can to silence us. Democrats, under the guise of protecting everyone from hate speech and insurrection, are doing the same. The new “Democrats” that are really liberal Socialist do not like Conservatives fighting back. They want only their opinions heard.
Cancel culture is a huge problem for Conservatives going forward.
Millions of voters would have never voted for Biden if they had heard about his real past and present endeavors. A huge problem for Conservatives.
If we don’t get our voice back we are not going to win anything. Regardless of how much we stamp our feet. The dilemma is that those that fight us are cunning and hateful and turn all that we do as insurrection. Even so, there are still things we can do.
4 Steps to turn this around.
1.) Get the word out – Be brave: Friends and family need to understand why you have a different viewpoint. Not just that you have one. You can’t overcome ignorance of course but you can have a couple of bullet points to share. An elevator pitch if you will.
2.) Stop letting them in our heads: If we’re going around as angry-elves, f-bombing anyone who does not believe as we do, most likely we have let them in our head. This is non-productive at so many levels.
3.) Be open to their fears and concerns: I know people that voted for Biden because they just didn’t like Trump. They were uneducated voters voting based on feelings. We have got to root them out and give them reasons to become educated on who they vote for. We need to be careful with “I told you so” statements and acting astonished, however.
4.) Support those that are victims of cancel culture attacks: When Mike Lindell was attacked I bought his MyPillows in response. We have to support those that are valiant in our cause. Put our money where our mouth is and make this a moot point for the cancelers. Take away their power.
There are at least 74 million of us that need to get the word out. We are smart and creative. This is much more powerful than our adversaries admit. We can’t let them get into our heads and stop fighting. Of course there will be resistance and maybe a “friend” or two lost along the way. Isn’t it worth it? You bet it is!
